The cottage is approximately 120 years old and formed part of the Busketts Fletchwood Estate, the only property in Woodlands Road at that time.
It was here that all the soft fruit and vegetables were grown for the main house and under part of the cottage is a water reservoir. Water was heated and pumped to the house and the pump room still has the original pipe work in it.
The grounds are a delight with a small stream where wildlife abounds. Kingfishers, dragonflies and the occasional sea trout can be seen if you are patient enough. Guests are welcome to sit in the shade of our walnut tree and enjoy the gardens after their day out.
